What is the "How Deep Is Your Love" Campaign?

A group of us were discussing Lance's voice--how much we love it and how much we'd love to hear more of it. It was suggested that we write letters to WEG to let them know how much we'd like to hear Lance sing lead on a song.
These letters would not be intended as a demand or a threat, but a simple request and words of encouragement. Several suggestions were made and the "How Deep Is Your Love" Campaign was born (How Deep, because Lance kicks off that song, because his voice is deep, and because our love for him is deep).
I have always believed that if you want something, you have to ask nicely for it. Letter writing campaigns have been successful in other areas of the entertainment industry--they helped keep Party of Five on the air and they helped bring back La Femme Nikita, as well as other shows. I also believe that
'N Sync does care about their fans. As you know, they let fans choose a single off their first album. If nothing else, these letters will provide WEG with some amusement and, as one person suggested, maybe even get us an "Awww, that's sweet" from Lance.
The campaign began during the month of February, as it was
put--the Month of Love--but is extended through March owing to fan
support. In order to keep things organized and unified, I
would like to suggest that anyone interested in participating in this
campaign follow these guidelines:
- Send your letter in a GREEN envelope (Lance's eyes--it stands out). I recommend hand writing all correspondence, because I've been told that has more impact.
- Write the words The "HOW DEEP IS YOUR LOVE" Campaign on the envelope in capital letters. The more letters WEG receives with this slogan the more noticeable they will be.
- Include your age in your correspondence. It would be good for WEG to know that there are a lot of older fans out there, as well as young fans, who buy 'N Sync's CDs.
- The letters don't have to be long--just a few words to say how much you enjoy 'N Sync's music and how much you love Lance's voice, and that you'd like to hear more of it.

Five letters won't make a difference. Ten letters won't make a difference. But if all of you who like Lance's voice write (and I know there are a lot of you out there), we might at least give them something to think about for the upcoming or a future album.
I would like to keep a tally of how many letters are sent. I will not keep track of names. I would just like to know the numbers. So if you would kindly drop me an email after you've sent your letter, I'd really appreciate it.
This campaign will run through March 31. Get those 'N Sync pens out and start writing. : ) If anyone has any questions, feel free to contact me, since I opened this can of worms.
